Thursday 11th October 2012 was a much better weather day. Blue sky and sunshine with no overlaying fog that we had the couple of days before.
We decided that would be a good day to venture up the Empire State Building as the views would be nice and clear. We had not pre-purchased our tickets and took our chances with the crowd. It was not too bad really as there were a lot of people there but the crowd was dealt with quickly and the slowest part was getting through the security check before we went up in the elevators. The rest was easy and we were in and out in a couple of hours. The views over New York were fantastic and well worth the time and effort to get there. New York is such a huge place with such a lot of people it was hard to take it all in. We walked everywhere when we were in New York as there are not a lot of hills and places of interest are fairly close to each other.
On our walk home to the hotel from the Empire State Building we came across a Golf Shop where we did a bit of damage to our credit card. The clothes are very cheap by comparison to Australian prices so we could not resist the temptation to buy.
We were back to our apartments in time for "Happy Hour"which became our dinner before we left to see "Jersey Boys"on Broadway. We did not pre-purchase our tickets but got them through the Concierge at the hotel which was an easy way of doing it and we got good seats for an extra cost of course. We really enjoyed the show including Peter who normally does not appreciate stage shows too much.
