My birthday started out with a big high being my win in the championships both scratch & nett at golf. Also having achieved my two golfing goals - ie winning a monthly medal and making it into "A" grade.
Added bonus winning the veterans championship. How good can it get!
After presentation we met with our friends Paul & Margaret Ingham. Paul is going to start playing golf so we were taking him around nine holes so he can prepare for competition play. Paul played very well & will be into the swing of it in no time. (Photo attached of Paul at the 16th green).
Then it was home to spend an evening with family & friends : Rod & Anne; Ken & Margaret Gardiner; Col & Lauren Matterson; Doreen & Garry Trigg. It is Garry's birthday tomorrow (17th August) and he also broke into "A" grade after a good match on Wednesday which gave us a good reason to celebrate tonight.
