Who says miracles cannot occur! This was the third round of the championships and I have pulled a third rabbit out of the hat and had another win!!! and that was on my new handicap.
My score was 91 gross and 70 nett to win my division and for the championship I came in with 66 which puts me in a very good position for the fourth round. However golf is a funny game. Anything can happen & we prove that each time we play. I was nearest the pin on the 8th and the 14th until Sharon Anderson outdid me & won each of the holes.
My playing partners today were Rita Gilmore ( scored nett 80) and Margaret Davidson (Scored nett 78). We had a good day with not a lot of delays as we were leading the field.
Our highlights for today were : for Rita a par on the 8th; for Margaret a par on the 15th and for Jan it was scoring 7 on the 2nd (five par) after being in two different bunkers on the way to the hole.
I have achieved my golfing goals for this year all in the space of two weeks. One was winning a monthly medal and the second one was to make "A" grade before the end of the year which I did today. Oh happy days. What a great week.
