Today was the second day of the Championships. It was beautiful weather & I had great company again with Paula Drew & Pam Cowin. Pam played really well today and won the daily event for 2nd division with a nice score of 70 nett with me in hot pursuit with a nett 72 ( playing off my new handicap of 22) coming in second. We were very happy with that result.
In the championships - playing to my old handicap I came in with exactly the same score as Tuesday - 94 gross and 69 nett. More happy days! So far I am in front of my division with a gross 188 and nett 138. Alice Collett is second with gross 201 and nett 157. There is still two matches to go so it is a case of steady as we go! Who knows what will happen, but so far so good.
The highlights for us today were: for Pam : three pars during the day; for Paula :a par on the 8th; for myself : scoring 6 on the 6th (five par) after wasting two shots in the trees.
