Tuesday 8th February 2011

We are back home and back to reality.
Sunday 6th February 2011 we spent on the road travelling from Byron Bay about 8.00 am to home stopping at Grafton for coffee and Bulahdelah for a break. It was 39 degrees at Taree right through Bulahdelah to just before Wyong where the weather completely changed to 19 degrees and pouring rain. We arrived home about 5.00 o'clock in the afternoon which was a good run through with no dramas.
I was happy that we had a good downfall of rain so that I didn't have to worry about the gardens for a couple of days. It has been heat wave conditions here for two weeks 40 degrees and upwards & I expected the gardens to be half dead. Shane, Rod, Anne and Shirley all combined to keep the garden alive which I greatly appreciated as the gardens will recover now that the cooler weather has arrived.
Monday 7th February 2011 we were at F-Troop at the golf club at 7.00am. We had 16 volunteers for the morning with a lot of raking and cleaning up after the wind and torrential rain of yesterday. Rod had a day off work and came around to watch the football on Foxtel. Anne & Joel came later in the afternoon when Anne had finished work and stayed for dinner which meant we could have some time with Joel. We had not seen him for two weeks so we had a lot of spoiling to do.
Tuesday 8th February 2011 (today) it was another nice cool day for golf. My playing partners were Anne Forrester & Rita Gilmour & we had a lovely day out on the course. My golf was very rusty and I had a pitiful score however we had some good highlights & Anne & Rita were great company. My highlights were scoring a good par and some long putts to scramble one pointers.
I am hoping for a nice weather day tomorrow to catch up with some chores around the house. It is hard to wind up again after having two weeks doing practically nothing but socialising.
