Monday 21st February 2011

It has been a mixed weather week blending showers and very hot humid days.
Tuesday 15th February 2011 we had overnight showers and rain into the early morning. I turned up for golf at 7.30 am to sit and watch the rain fall steadily for an hour. I am not a wet weather golfer and both of my partners for the day had decided against playing which helped me to decide to give golf a miss that day. I went home and spent the day around the house catching up. Tuesday evening we went out to dinner with our long time friend Terry Condon who was visiting Gosford for business. We took Terry to the Golf Club for some pre-dinner drinks & met up with Mark & Anne Stimpson and Col Matterson who just happened to be there. They all joined us for dinner at Aries Thai Restaurant which was a very pleasant evening and it was good to catch up with Terry who we had not seen for a while.
Wednesday 16th February 2011 Peter played golf. It was a hot sunny day so I caught up with the washing as it was such a good drying day. I did some research on the internet for our upcoming holiday to Perth.
Thursday 17th February 2011 we decided to go out to Erina Fair as Peter needed to buy a new mobile phone as the old Samsung had finally given up. We shopped for bits and pieces and I bought a lightweight stroller so I can take Joel for short walks to the trains etc without having to use the heavier stroller. We put the GPS holder on our golf cart that I had bought especially for our Sureshot GPS and we were able to get it to hold well on the windshield where it is easy to read. Thursday evening we had some young idiot juveniles throw eggs on our front windows and front door. I was not impressed. At first we thought a bird had flown into one of the windows when the egg hit the screen door. Small things amuse small minds!
Friday 18th February 2011 Peter helped the F-Troop with timber deliveries and I spent the day house cleaning as it was too hot to work outside. It was a very humid day and very uncomfortable without the air conditioner on. Friday evening I went over to Rod & Anne's to babysit Joel while Rod & Anne had an evening out. Joel was very well behaved for me & went to bed at his allocated time without any fuss.
Saturday 19th February 2011 is was a blistering hot day reaching into the 40 degrees. We did a quick household shopping trip and then Peter went to golf. I stayed indoors in the airconditioning, finishing household jobs that I did not get done yesterday.
Sunday 20th February 2011 the day was hot and humid to start with and then threatened to storm throughout the day without any real change coming through until overnight.
I was up early to finish watering the front gardens. Rod, Anne & Joel came for breakfast & I was able to use the stroller to walk Joel to see the trains at Gosford Station. Joel was enthralled with the trains and all the cars he saw along the way. He is car mad a the moment so it is easy to keep him amused. We left Rod, Anne & Joel at the house about 11 o'clock and went to golf. Our playing partners today were Wally & Rhonda Robertson who are great company. None of us played exceptionally well but we did get a few 3 pointers each along the way which gave us some highlights. Wally & Rhonda stayed and had dinner with us along with all the other golfers who stayed for dinner at the club. We had a very enjoyable day in spite of the golf scores. The boys beat the girls for the keno ticket but we bet them "Double or nothing"on the last hole & Rhonda won the hole for us which was our highlight.
Monday 21st February 2011 we were up early for F-Troop. It was lightly showering but we decided to go over & see who turned up. The showers continued but nine of us turned up so we decided to do a course clean up, showers or not. We managed to get a lot of clean up work done which made it a very satisfying day. As it was a rainy day so Rod had taken a rostered day off and spent the day at our place watching the Foxtel and playing computer games on my computer.
Anne was working and Joel was happily at Kindy. This afternoon I had a much needed Nanny nap to recover.
I am hoping that the weather clears up overnight as I intend playing golf tomorrow with an 8.06am hit off. Another day of wet golf is not on my agenda.
