Well I guess it had to happen, I came down with a cold on Thursday which I hope does not develop into a full blown flu like Peter has. Pete is getting better but still very congested & is now on antibiotics to help clear the problem. I am in a "not happy Jan" state as I want to be well for our forthcoming golf holiday.
Plan A was that I was going to finish the roses & the golf gardens over the last two days. I have been feeling miserable & the wind has been far too cold for me to get outside. The gardens will have to wait for another week or so.
So to Plan B. At long last the family photo wall is complete. It has taken me almost 12 months to get around to having the boys wedding photos framed - mainly because I could not make up my mind which photo I liked the best & then we had to search for frames that complimented the hand made frame on Greg's photo. It was not easy as the factory that made the original oregon frame has closed down & it is very difficult to get the same mould to copy the frame. I had to settle for the next best option. I am happy that the wall is complete as Greg has been there on his own for ten years & needed some company.
Today I had some more "me" time and had my hair cut & coloured. Then the rest of the day was basically getting up to date here. I did get the oven cleaned which is something I put on hold for as long as possible. Not one of my favourite tasks but I am always happy to get it done. It is kind of like finding the bottom of the ironing basket. - A warm fuzzy feeling & great sense of achievement.
I am dosing myself up with prevention medication to try & cut this cold off in it's tracks so I have got half a chance of enjoying the golf courses we are about to play next week.
