Peter, Clyde & Lyn - Golf Sunday

The gardening has continued and the rewards are on show in the garden.  We have had a mixture of weather but very little rain.

Thursday 10th October 2013 it was a very hot 39 degree day with high winds in the afternoon.  I did not play in the Golf Championships this year so I spent the day mulching the front gardens and started on the back gardens. Peter put the Aldi Shoe cupboard together and it fitted all my golf shoes perfectly.

Friday 11th October 2013 we did the household shopping and then I was back in the gardens to get the mulch down before the summer heat sets in.  Friday night we went to the Golf Club for dinner and raffles.  We won a leg of lamb with vegies and a tray of steak which was a good bonus.

Saturday 12th October 2013 I was up early to cut some roses to give to Rosalie at her birthday luncheon.  Then I went over to the golf club to tidy up for the afternoon garden wedding.  I was back home by 10 o'clock to get ready to go to Wamberal Surf Club for Rosalie's 70th birthday luncheon.  Lauren picked me up along with Rhonda & we joined Rosalie's family and friends at Wamberal for a lovely lunch overlooking the beach.  After lunch I was in cooking mode preparing a Mum's Lamb Roast as Mark & Anne were coming for dinner. We had a good night playing cards after dinner until midnight.  By the time I got the Golfers blog updated it was 12.30.

Sunday 13th October 2013 I was up early so that I could give the gardens a good water before Rod, Anne, Joel & Emily arrived for breakfast.  Rod & Anne had some shopping to do so I took Joel & Emily to the railway station to have a look at the trains and to buy them an iceblock.  We left for golf about 11.30 as we had a late start.  It was a hot, windy day - not so good for golf but at least we had the cart to make it easier. We had a lovely day with Clyde & Lyn Cruickshanks who were our playing partners.  Clyde was our champion player with 40 points and I got a respectable 38 points and won a ball.  After golf we all went to the Gosford Hotel for dinner.

Monday 14th October 2013 We were up early for F-Troop with a busy day ahead of us.  I spent the day planting in the Agavi plants that were donated to the club.

Tuesday 15th October 2013 I was up early to get the back gardens mulched and worked until lunch time when I went over to the club for presentation so I could take photos of the winners.  Anne & Emily went to Sydney to see "Dora" and left the car at our place as they were catching the train.  Anne and Emily returned after a good day in Sydney and picked the car up.

Wednesday 16th October 2013 (today) I was up early again to work in the back gardens weeding, mulching, trimming, planting in some petunias for Christmas colour. The gardens are looking lovely with all the extra TLC and it is good to see all the colours brightening up the garden.  I filled up two green bins this week with still more trimming to do next week after I have the bins emptied.

Tomorrow is the last day of the Ladies Championships so I am playing golf tomorrow at the end of the field as I wanted to be over there for Presentation anyway.  I am playing golf with Lauren & Jann so we should have a good day.
