My energy levels have been down this week as my chest infection persists. It is slowly improving but the cough will not clear. I may need to get some antibiotics if it is not clear by the end of this week.
It has been a busy week and the winter cool is coming in but it has stayed nice and sunny which is great if I could stay out of the wind.
Thursday 10th May 2012 I had a big morning in the front gardens & managed to fill a green bin with weeds. The roses are coming to an end and are getting ready for a winter spell. In the afternoon I managed to get some more photos done and am making some headway with my photo graveyard.
Friday 11th May 2012 we spent the morning at the golf club gardens getting some succulents moved from one garden to another as they had outgrown their plot. The Aloe Vera & Yukka plants were difficult to move as they are so spiky and strong. They had grown too well in the garden where I had them and were multiplying like rabbits. I had about 100 baby plants left over that I will have to recycle back through the wholesale nursery as we do not have room for that many plants. It was a big job and I was worn out when we were finished. Friday night we went to the Golf Club for raffle night as Peter was on raffle duty. We won a meat tray so that was a bonus.
Saturday 12th May 2012 we did some early morning household shopping as Peter had to be at golf by 10.30am. I went over with him to pot up the 100 plants that were left over from the garden yesterday. In the afternoon I scanned some more photos into the computer.
Sunday 13th May 2012 - Mother's Day. We had a leisurely breakfast & then went to golf at 10.30. It was a very windy and cold day even though it was sunny. Not very pleasant for golf unfortunately.
Our playing partners were Robin Incoll and her son Duncan Brown. We had a good day with some highlights from Duncan who had three birdies including a chip in. Rod and Anne, Joel & Emily, Shane & Sam came to the club for dinner for Mothers Day which was lovely. I enjoyed having them there and I got some beautiful presents that Joel helped me to open.
Monday 14th May 2012 we were up early for a 7.00am start with F-Troop. We had a big project on removing some trees along the back of the clubhouse which took some cleaning up. Again I was worn out at the end of the morning and needed a nanny nap to get over it. I made a zucchini pie to take over to dinner at Mark & Anne's place. They had organised a wine tasting night where we had six wines to taste and judge and then send our score by entering our information on the Internet. We had a lovely dinner and dessert and enjoyed the evening with Col & Lauren and Col & Alice being the eight of us that travelled to Perth last year for golf.
Tuesday 15th May 2012 was a golf day for me - playing the dreaded par match. The weather was chilly but not as bad as Sunday. My playing partners were Rosalie Dyer and Robin Incoll. We had a good day with Rosalie and I both having gobbler shots off the green and into the hole and Robin winning the nearest the pin. I finished with minus 2 which was in respectable range but not good enough to win a ball.
Wednesday 16th May 2012 (today) I was up early to get some walking done on my walking machine. I have been a bit slack this week as the morning have been cold and my chest infection was not good. I walked for an hour and felt better for it. The washing machine stopped working so I had to wait for the repair man to come and look at it. As I needed to be close to home I spent the day on the computer scanning in more photos and catching up with bills etc.
My energy levels are starting to lift so I hope to get more done next week. The days are getting colder and shorter so finding enough hours in the day to get motivated gets more difficult. I look for indoor activities like reading a book which is not much help.
