Today was a Captain Vs President "Pinehurst" event. My playing partner today was Ronda Jordon (President), myself (Vice President) vs Di Thomlinson (Captain), Di Beechey (Vice Captain) ( Photo attached of us on the first tee.)
We had a good fun day & the weather was kind to us. The course is starting to dry out quite well & the greens are responding to the maintenence program. Ronda & I were very competitive for most of the match. On the 15th Di Beechey put her second shot near the pin which resulted in a birdie, on the 16th & 17th Di Thomlinson was on the green in two shots. Ronda & I did not have an answer for that & we were beaten on the day. However the rest of the Presidents side had sufficient wins to bring home the Presidents side & we won the shield for this year.
