This week was a mixture of weather ranging from heat waves to showers.
Tuesday 27th November 2012 was the closing day for our Ladies Golf. My playing partners were Shirley Daly, Annie Brink and Sharon Anderson. We played a team stableford split sixes so we had fun. We did not play well enough to win any prizes but it was a good day enjoying a nice lunch afterwards in the sunset room.
Wednesday 28th November 2012 I decided to go over to the golf club gardens for a couple of hours to finish cleaning up the ladies garden at the 3rd tee and the 2nd green garden. I started at 9 o'clock and got home at 3.30 in the afternoon as there was a lot more work to be done that met the eye.
Thursday 29th November 2012 I had my check up appointment with my eye specialist at Long Jetty. I got a good report so all went well with the cataract operations. I only need reading glasses for very small writing.
Later we went to Bunnings where I bought some more plants for my garden at home and for the Golf Club. We had to go to Bunnings at Erina as well and while there I found a couple more plants to buy. I had to get some varnish to treat the golf shoes that I am going to put in the Golf Club gardens.
Friday 30th November 2012 it was a very hot day so I spent some time working on my travel blog. Friday evening we went to the Golf Club for raffles and the badge draw & we won three meat trays.
Saturday 1st December 2012 I was up early to do some gardening before it got too hot. I have some lovely roses out at the moment and it is a shame to see them getting burnt off. Butch & Peter had a game of golf together and had a nice day. Butch played well and called in after the match to have a chat. I spent the day on the computer doing some more on my travel blog and sorting photos.
Sunday 2nd December 2012 we went over to Rod and Anne's as they were putting up the Christmas Tree for Joel & Emily to decorate. The kids had a great time with the Christmas decorations and we enjoyed a couple of hours with them until 11 o'clock. We had a shotgun 12.30 start for golf playing in a team stableford 1 X 2 X 3. Our playing partners were Michael & Pauline Norman & we had a good day with them. Thankfully the weather had cooled down and we had cloud cover for most of the day. I played to my handicap and won a ball so that was a bonus. The Golf Club have decided to close the bistro of a Sunday evening due to lack of patronage which means we have to go out somewhere else for dinner on Sunday nights which does not suit me at all because it makes a very late night for me by the time I have updated the blog when we finally do get home. We decided to try the RSL for dinner because it is fairly close to home.
Monday 3rd December 2012 was F-Troop day. It was lightly showering all morning but we had so much work to do that we went and worked through the showers. I managed to get a couple of gardens done including the yellow golf shoes and planted out the new plants I had bought at Bunnings. It was a big morning but at least it was not hot.
I do not play golf tomorrow as it is the Ladies Christmas Luncheon and Annual Presentation Day starting at 11.15am and going through to late afternoon. There will be no trophies for me this year as my golf has not been good.
