Monday 17th December 2012

This week has gone by very quickly - probably the Christmas rush to get everything done.

Tuesday 11th December 2012 we went out to Erina Shopping Centre early to beat the crowds so we could get the last of the Christmas shopping done.  It was not too bad and we managed to get most things that we were looking for and were all done by lunch time. In the afternoon I did some more work on my travel blog.

Wednesday 12th December 2012 I went to Newcastle with Anne while the kids were at kindy.  Anne had a Doctors appointment at Newcastle in the morning.  After that we went to the big shopping centre nearby and did some more shopping for things that I did not get yesterday at Erina.  We arrived back about 3.30 pm in time to pick up Joel and Emily from day care.  Joel was having an overnight stay with us so Anne dropped us back home and took Emily with her.  Joel was very good and we had fun putting up the Christmas Tree decorations and playing with the Christmas Train & the Santa bubble blower.  Joel settled well and slept through until 6.00am.

Thursday 13th December 2012 we had Joel for the day until about 4.00pm when Anne finished work. Joel and I worked in the back garden early in the morning where Joel loved helping me to weed the gardens.  Peter and I took him on the train to Tuggerah Station just for the ride.  Joel loved it and he enjoyed our lunch stop at McDonald's where he played in the playroom with some quickly made friends.  We caught the train home after an hour or so & Joel was quickly asleep having worn himself out in the playroom.  He had a good sleep after we got home which had him ready to go to his kindy concert that night with Rod & Anne.

Friday 14th December 2012   Peter was playing golf at Mangrove Mountain which gave me all day to work in the back garden.
That evening I went out to The Entrance Leagues Club with Mark & Anne Stimpson to watch their daughter Louise receive her award for excellent performance in her concert.

Saturday 15th December 2012 we were back out at Bunnings again to get some more bits and pieces for the Golf Club and some more petunias for the back garden and then did the household shopping.  Peter was playing golf so I had another day in the back yard cleaning up the BBQ area.  I filled up all the green bins so the rest will have to wait until next week.

Sunday 16th December 2012 we played golf with Mary Bromwich and Warren Gray & had a lovely day.  My golf was not that good but I enjoyed the day even though it was a bit hot to start with.  The Golf Club have closed the Bistro on Sunday nights so we went out to the Wyoming Thai Restaurant with Mark & Anne Stimpson.  By the time we got home and I got the golfers blog done it was very late.

Monday  17th December 2012 (today) we were up early for F-Troop.  There was a lot of work to be done as we had some high winds during the week which make a mess of the place.  It was a cooler day today which made it better for working in the gardens. I got some good hedging work done among other things.

Tonight I am going over to have dinner and sit with Anne while Peter & Mark have a Directors Meeting to attend at the club.  I will take my laptop so I can hopefully get some more of my travel blog done. I am up to Niagara Falls now so progress is happening.
