I could not resist updating my blog with today's activities. I was up early to do some walking exercise and to listen to some of my latest book. My next intention was to do some work in the back yard after a quick grocery shopping trip. Of course that did not happen.
There was to be a wedding at the golf club & it is my job to make sure the satin cushions are on the garden bench seats for the comfort of the guests. It had been threatening to shower prior to the 11.30 am wedding so I held out until the last half an hour to get the cushions out in the garden at the Golf Club. Fortunately the sun came out & the wedding went ahead on schedule but not before we had a scramble to prepare the wedding garden with the chairs and red carpet etc as the operations manager had the wedding time wrong.
All went well with the wedding and the guests were all comfortable. I went back to the club later & picked up the cushions fortunately before the showers set in. By that time the wedding guests were in the comfort of the Magnolia Room.
In the afternoon we called over to see Ken Gardiner and his mother-in-law Elsie. Ken & Marg are in the throws of moving house as they are building a new home at Dorrigo. We have known Ken for more than 40 years & he is famous for his hoarding skills in his garage. I always have wanted to be there the day he started to clean out his garage & I was lucky enough today to get it all captured on film. Being a hoarder myself I understand his anxiety at the thought of having to throw something out.
Joel started on his first solids today & Anne sent me the photo attached of his face after his first taste of rice cereal which Anne assures me he loved.
