I have had a huge week - mainly with the two G's (Gardening and golfing).
Sunday 12th we were lucky enough to get some good weather for golf and I managed to play an 'alright' golf game coming in with the "runner up" trophy for the day. Our playing partners were Terry and Sandra Coyle. We had a very competative day for the keno ticket which the boys won by matching our good efforts at just about every hole.
Monday 13th was F- Troop day which was a very busy clean up day after the wet weather & damaged paths etc. I spent most of the day planting out cutting and trimming trees etc.
Tuesday 14th was another golf day with the girls. My playing partners were Julie Hazzard and Jan Walker. Our golf was not wonderful but they were great company. It was a freezing cold day with an icy wind. I had three layers of clothes on all day - not my favourite type of weather.
Wednesday 15th I spent most of the day working on pruning the roses & tidying the gardens between showers.
Thursday 16th we had a special 'theme day' at ladies golf where we all had to come dressed as something from a 'song' title. My Team for the day was Yvonne Wilson, Rosalie Dyer and Julie Curren and our choice was "Buttons and Bows". I showed you previously the results of our sewing day at Rosie's last Saturday when we made up our outfits. We had a great fun day and our team managed to win a ball. Thursday night we had a huge downpour of rain which has redamaged the course again for the next week.
Friday 16th was another full day in my garden at home finishing off the pruning of the roses in the back yard. It is a big job & I was happy to make good progess & got the majority of the pruning done. Friday night there was to be a Wine and Cheese night at the club but when we got there the night had been cancelled through lack of numbers so I was not too unhappy to get home early after a big day in the garden & buying some plants for the golf club.
Saturday 17th I pruned the last of the roses and after the mandatory grocery shop the rest of the day was spent at the golf club planting in the new plants I had purchased & spread out some mulch on the new gardens.
Today, Sunday the 19th we had a visit from Rod, Anne & Joel - so we could get our weekly cuddle. Joel is doing well as are his proud parents. Graham & Anne had decided to have a game of golf at Gosford today & called in on their way through to the club & managed to catch up with Rod &, Anne & Joel.
Our playing partners today at golf were Mark & Anne Stimpson. It was a lovely warm sunny day so we all enjoyed being out on the course. The boys played well & won the keno ticket.
After golf we all stayed back for dinner at the club & Shane & Sam joined us there for a couple of hours so we could have a catch up with them.
It has been a big, full on week which is not going to change much next week as I am playing golf tomorrow in a special "seniors" day, playing again on Tuesday in a par match. Wednesday I am going to finish fetilizing the back gardens and Thursday I am back at golf again which is the singles KO qualifying round. Never a dull moment!
