Saturday 11th July 2009

There has been much to do this week (between showers) with golf and gardening.
On Sunday our playing partners were June & Russ Hayes & we were lucky enough to get good weather and the course has been improving every day. Rod, Anne & Joel joined us for dinner at the golf club which gave us a chance to show Joel off to all the members.
Monday was a good day for F-Troop work where we had a lot of cleaning up to do after all the wild weather of the previous week.
Tuesday was a cold day however we did not get any rain which made for a good day at golf. My playing partners were Jan Walker & Julie Hazzard playing in a 3BBB vs PAR match. We had some good highlights during the day but not enough to win any trophies.
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday I spent in the garden pruning the roses and tidying up between showers which got rather frustrating at times with the wet and cold - South of France sounds nice for this time next year! Anne brought Joel over for a visit which brightened my day.
Today, Saturday, I met up with Rosalie and Yvonne at Rosalie's house to make some outfits for us to wear at next Thursday's dress up theme day at golf. The theme is to dress like a song title.
We have chosen "Buttons and Bows" (if you can't work that out from the photos above). We had a lovely day making the outfits from old curtains & managed to fit in a nice lunch and a wine along the way. We thought we had done rather well with the total costs of the 4 outfits working out at $7 each.
