Thursday 11th September 2008

This week has flown by very quickly and it has been lovely to have some nice sunshine.

Monday F-Troop had been cancelled due to all the wet weather the previous week so I did some work on weeding the front gardens which were well overdue. It was the perfect time as the ground was so soft after the rain.

Tuesday I had some 'me' time using up a birthday gift voucher from Sam & Shane for a facial. I really enjoyed the spoiling and came home all refreshed. Tuesday afternoon I went to the golf club for the girls presentation so I could update the golf blog and then went straight into a meeting with the manager of "Golf China" discussing our upcoming tours of Tasmania & China. After that it was time to race home and get ready to return to the club for a "meet the new Members" followed by the Annual General Meeting. Peter was installed unapposed for the position of Vice President. It was a big day.

Wednesday I was involved in modelling fashions for the local Pandora Club's Charity luncheon at the Avoca Beach Life Saving Club. It was a lovely day to visit Avoca Beach & I enjoyed a quite moment before the luncheon having a coffee on the boardwalk outside the Life Saving Club. The luncheon & the fashion Parade was well received and it was fun wearing the beautiful clothes from Santa Fe of the Crown Plaza at Terrigal. A lot of the girls from the golf club attended & three of them modelled with me to show off some great outfits. It was not a bad way to spend a day.

Thursday Graham & I had appointments with the solicitor and the bank regarding Mum's Estate. Following that I spent some hours at the golf club with Enone Sammons - our latest recruit into F-Troop. Enone is going to adopt the second Tee garden which will allow me to concentrate on other gardens. Enone is an orchid specialist & helped me to split up the orchids that had been donated to the club and we planted them into the garden today. Later it was lunch at the club and I arrived just in time for the girls presentation so I could get photos for the golfers blog.
After that it was time to clean and pack the golf gear ready to travel to Tasmania.
We are travelling to Sydney by Airport Bus as we have to travel with our golf clubs - a bit dificult on the train. We are to be ready by 2.30 pm tomorrow & then it is off for our Tasmanian Experience. There are 18 of us from the Gosford Golf Club & we are all staying at the Airport Hotel in Sydney tomorrow night as we fly out to Launceston early on Saturday morning. Now I am off to pack clothes - that will be the hard bit. The news tonight declared that rain & high wind was predicted for Tasmania tomorrow. Let us hope that has all blown over by Saturday and the rest of the week. Watch this space for reports.
