It was lovely to see the sunshine today after a long couple of days of constant wet weather. We had over 5 inches of rain over the last few days so it was a great day to get out in the garden to weed. I have had a punnet of snapdragons waiting for me to plant out for about a week. Although digging in the garden was the second worst thing I could do for my "tennis elbow" problem (after golf) I could not resist the temptation and opportunity of weeding some of the front gardens & putting in the seedlings before the boys arrived to spend Father's Day with Pete.
We had a lovely relaxed day having some quality time with the boys & Sam.
Shane, Sam & Rod called around at lunchtime and brought a platter of prawns & oysters with them for lunch appetizers. Anne was away on a "girl's weekend" in the Hunter Valley so missed out on the treat. For lunch we went to the "Settlers Arms" Tavern which is just around the corner & spent the afternoon there. At 5 o'clock we went to the Golf Club for dinner to finish off the day and that also gave me the chance to pick up the results sheets for the Golfers Blog. I was amazed that the golf event was able to take place today but apparently the course drained really well & everyone enjoyed their day.
