Today was a big day starting with a family breakfast at home for Lyn, Kay, Graham, Anne, Phil & Lorraine before we all set out on our different paths for the day.
Phil & Lorraine went to visit Mum at Tarragal House before heading back to Moree.
Later in the day I got a text to say they arrived home safely.
Graham & Anne had a busy day planned at work in Sydney.
Kay & Lyn were planning on some more retail therapy at Erina Shopping Centre prior to visiting Mum after Phil & Lorraine. Lyn & Kay reported that Mum was feeling well enough to be taken out into the gardens in a wheelchair for a short while which was very encouraging.
Earlier this week one of our friends lost her battle with cancer.
We attended her funeral service in Sydney at 10.30 am after struggling through the horrific morning traffic and found Pennant Hills Road at crawling pace. We were a little late for the service but managed to spend some time with the family & some of our Sydney friends before coming back to the Central Coast to pick up Lyn & Kay and take them to Williamtown Airport, Newcastle to catch their plane to Brisbane as a start to their journey home to Ipswich and Cunnamulla in Queensland.
On the way home from Newcastle we called in to see Sue & Phil Hodge, our friends at Kanwal. 460 odd kilometres later we have arrived home to have a "recovery" evening.
