Wednesday 6th August 2014

It is hard to find enough hours in the day.  Weather has been good during the day - a little chilly at night and early mornings.

Friday 25th July 2014 we had some jobs to do at the Golf club and then went to Rod & Anne's for lunch and to check out their new house.  Rod was home sick from work so I played with the kids out in the yard which they love.  They have swings and slippery dips and a nice secure area for them to play in.  They love their new bedrooms and proudly showed them off.  Once Rod & Anne settle in properly they will really appreciate the extra space.  That evening we went to the Golf Club for a special "Fun Night" dinner and dance as well as the raffles and badge draw.

Saturday 26th July 2014 Peter played golf and I went over to the Club to prune the Tibouchina Shrubs.

Sunday 27th July 2014 Shane & Danielle came for breakfast so it was nice to catch up with them.  We played golf with Michael & Pauline Norman in the first Round of the Team Series.  Our Team partners are Mark Stimpson & Marianne Lanham.  Marianne played well and the rest of us were a bit ordinary.  The other players in the series did not play well either so at the end of the day we were not too far out of the picture to fight out the three series event.  That evening we had dinner at the Golf Club as the Bistro was open for the Members.

Monday 28th July 2014 we were up early for F-Troop on a very chilly morning.  We did a good mornings work and got some good projects done.

Tuesday 29th July 2014 I played golf with Doon Delany, Denise Bentlin & Kay Frewin.  It was visitors day with Wyong Ladies so we had a special presentation in the Sunset Room.  Gosford won the day.

Wednesday 30th July 2014 I spent the morning at the Golf Club planting in many new plants that have been donated to the club and watering the gardens at the bush toilet green space.

Thursday 31st July 2014 I was at the Golf Club again this time planting and watering at the 2nd green garden.  In the afternoon I went into Gosford for a manicure and pedicure which was well overdue.

Friday 1st August 2014 I did some watering at the golf club gardens in the morning.  In the afternoon we went to Erina Fair to get some new bed linen for our upcoming house guests.  We have borrowed a couple of air mattresses to accommodate the family leading up to and after Matt & Jana's wedding on the 9th August.. That evening we went to the Golf Club for dinner,Raffles and badge draw.

Saturday 2nd August 2014 I went to swimming lessons with Anne & the kids, then we did a bit of shopping and then came home for an afternoon rest and to cook up a Mum's Lamb Roast for dinner.  Rod & Anne stayed for dinner with the kids.  Joel and Emily had a sleep over with Joel loving having "his own" room back again.

Sunday 3rd August 2014 Anne picked up Joel and Emily early so  Joel could go to Little Rugby.  We played golf with Ray & Carolyn Buttsworth & had a good day.  Ray was our champion and the only one to win a ball.  The boys beat the girls for the Keno Ticket.  After Golf we went to the Gosford Hotel for dinner with our Ray & Carolyn & our golf friends.

Monday 4th August 2014 we were up early on another chilly morning for F-Troop.  We had a good days work and got some good projects done.  In the afternoon I did some garden watering at home.  That evening we went to Mark & Anne Stimpson's for dinner and a chat.

Tuesday 5th August 2014 I played golf in a stroke match.  Leaving home I was having doubts at my wisdom of playing in a stroke match when my golf was at such a dismal stage.  It was all justified when I came in the winner of my division on the day.  My playing partners were Faye Levenspiel & Lea Southon and they were good company bringing me home with a good score.  Another highlight was winning the Monthly Medal and the Raffle Prize - so I really cleaned up.

Wednesday 6th August 2014 (today) I had my hair cut and coloured and some last minute grocery shopping for our guests arriving tomorrow. In the afternoon I made up a little Fairy Garden for the kids with some left over plants I had hanging around.

I am looking forward to all the family arriving - Lyn & Richard arriving tomorrow and Phil and Lorraine on Friday, Kay & Greg on Sunday.  We always enjoy our family time together.
