This has been a busy week - rain for the first time tonight but otherwise fine and sunny if a little chilly early in the morning.
Friday 2nd August 2013 we did the household shopping and went to Erina for a few things and came home with some travel books for around Australia including the areas that we will be travelling when on our way to Cunnamulla. That evening we went to the Golf Club for dinner and the raffles. We won two meat trays which was a bonus.
Saturday 3rd August 2013 we had a wedding in the wedding garden at the Golf Club so I went over to clean up the area and do some gardening. I ended up staying on until 3 o'clock which was a big day.
Sunday 4th August 2013 Rod, Anne & the kids came over for breakfast as we had won a breakfast tray at the raffles on Friday night. We had a late start at golf so did not leave until 11.30. Our golf partners were Andy & Jann Henebury who were great company. After golf we went to the Gosford Hotel for dinner with some of our golf friends.
Monday 5th August 2013 we were up early for F-Troop. I worked until morning tea and then came home to get ready to go out to lunch with my old work friends. Heather, Loraine, Margaret, Des and Nancy gave me some lovely flowers, chocolates and shouted me lunch at Jimmy G's in Gosford for my upcoming 70th birthday which was a lovely surprise as my birthday is not until the end of next week.
Tuesday 6th August 2013 I played golf and my playing partners were Alice Collett and Barbara Stratford. They were lovely company which made up for my bad golf.
Wednesday 7th August 2013 (today) I looked after Joel all day while Anne was at work as Joel was not well enough to go to Kindy. He and Emily have both been sick with winter colds but Joel's has developed into a chest infection and bad cough. We had some fun together cooking some cup cakes and I took him for a walk to see the trains at Gosford Station when the weather warmed up. This walk always involves buying an ice cream at the station. When we got home he had a nap and seemed much better when he woke up. Anne, Rod & Emily stayed on for dinner when they came to pick up Joel.
I was happy to see the rain tonight as I have not taken the time to water any of my gardens this week so they needed a drenching.
