Tuesday 1st January 2013

We have turned the page to 2013 and the start of a new year.  The week between Christmas and New Year has been busy.

Thursday 27th December 2012 we were over at the Golf Club early to finish of the painting of the Magnolia Room.  Rod rang while we were there to see if I could mind Joel and Emily while he got a job done so that took care of the rest of my day.  Joel & Emily were good all day - both of them having a good nap in the afternoon as I think all the excitement of Christmas is catching up with them being out of their normal routine.

Friday 28th December 2012 we went out to Erina so I could get a universal converter so I can operate my new Photo Cube which had an American connection.  I picked that up at Dick Smith's easily enough.  While we were out there we decided to have a look at some kitchen buffet to replace the table setting that went to Shane & Sam's house.  We had a look at a couple of places before calling in to Coastal Design at Erina who had discounts on their floor stock.  Low and behold I walked in and saw exactly what I wanted for the space we have in the kitchen.  It was not a cheap item but so ideal that I could not go past it at a discounted price and they can deliver it next week.  That bent the credit card a bit.  Friday evening we went to the Golf Club for raffle and badge draw and we won two trays of meat which will replentish the freezer.

Saturday 29th December 2012 we did the household shopping and I picked up some more printer ink from Office Works.  Peter went to golf and I got some gardening done and did some work on my travel blog which I am gradually working my way through. I tested out the new photo cube and it worked perfectly. I went on line to order more cartridges and paper and found that they had to come from America.  Hopefully I will find a place in Australia that supplies them eventually.

Sunday 30th December 2012 there was no golf competition so we went to Rod & Anne's for breakfast & caught up with Anne's Mum and Aunty Gayl for Christmas.  I had a play with the kids before going home so that Peter could do some more painting at the club while I did some more gardening and computer work.

Monday 31st December 2012 we were up early for F-Troop.  We worked through to lunchtime when we had a BBQ lunch with the Junior Squad.  After lunch I needed a Nanny Nap to get me through the New Year's Eve celebrations.  We went to the Golf Club for a dinner dance and show.  It was a great night with excellent entertainment and good company and we arrived home in the early hours of the morning.

Tuesday 1st January 2013 (today) we had a recovery day not doing too much.  I got some more done on my travel blog and am now up to Ottawa in our travel photos.  It was a very hot day so I gave gardening a miss in favour of something more comfortable inside.

Tomorrow is going to be a cooler day and I hope to motivate myself into more gardening.  For 2013 my aim is for happiness and good health so I am walking on that yellow brick path.
