Thursday 12th April 2012

The weather has gone from Sublime over the Easter Weekend to ridiculous for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week.  We have been hit with a cold snap that has been a shock to the system.

Easter Saturday Evening 7th April 2012 we went to Mark & Anne Stimpson's for dinner and a game of 500. We had a good night with Louise keeping us company.  We got a bit caught up with the card game and it was after midnight by the time we got home.

Easter Sunday 8th April 2012 we were up early and over to Rod & Anne's for a Family Easter Breakfast at 8.30am.  We had a lovely day with Joel and Emily, Ray & Ron (Anne's parents) and Shane & Sam.  Rod cooked up some bacon on the BBQ and we enjoyed a beautiful breakfast with eggs, bacon, Potato, tomatoes, orange juice, fresh oven baked bread rolls and hot cross buns.  How good does it get!  Not to mention the chocolate Easter Eggs.  Joel enjoyed his Easter Egg hunt in the garden & Emily got some cuddly fluffy Easter Bunnies as she cannot eat chocolate. We went home for a nanny nap in the afternoon before going over to the club for dinner and to take presentation photos.

Easter Monday 9th April 2012 I was up early to watch the final round of the Masters Golf and then went  over to the golf club gardens to do some watering and weeding as it had been very hot over the weekend.  We spent a few hours over there and got home early afternoon.

Tuesday 10th April 2012 the weather changed dramatically and we were back in our winter woolies.  There was a real chill factor on the wind which made it very uncomfortable for golf.  My golf partners were Lyn Cruickshanks and Kerry Williams and they were great company  even though none of us played exceptional golf.  I had some good opportunities to score but my putting let me down.

Wednesday 11th April 2012 Peter played golf and I had a "me" day, having my hair done, manicure & pedicure etc, a bit of retail therapy as well which made me feel better.  It was still a very cold day with late afternoon downpour of rain.
I have still been plodding along every day working my way through my photo graveyard trying to do a small batch each time.

Thursday 12th April 2012 we went to Bunnings first thing to pick up some bits and pieces for the Golf Club and dropped them over to the club.  It is cold again today and we have had showers on and off throughout the day.  I am getting myself organised for a couple of days at Moree to help to celebrate the 150th centenary of Moree by marching in a street parade on Saturday with all the Marching Girls that I used to march with when I lived in Moree.  It should be a fun weekend and I am looking forward to it. I am not looking forward to the long trip there and back.  Graham and Anne are travelling there at the same time so we are planning to meet up along the highway and have lunch together and that will break the trip.  Moree is forecast to have good weather so I am looking forward to being warm.

Be sure to check in to the blog next week when I hope to have some good photos of the weekend.
