Saturday 7th April 2012

I have had a lot of difficulty finding enough hours in the day to do the things that I want to do - let alone the things that I have to do.  My undoing has been my photo graveyard that is taking endless hours and the purchase of an Ipad which is absolutely fantastic but a huge time waster when it comes to allocating time for serious matters such as housework, gardening and golf.  To add to that I have spent a lot of time on planning our USA holiday for the end of the year which I want to get right.

Tuesday 27th March 2012 I played golf with Lauren Matterson, Lorraine Bignall & Doreen Vines.  The course was in the middle of maintenance so we had to play the same 9 holes twice with the greens covered in sand.  We had a good fun day and strangely enough I played my best game for a while scoring 39 points & coming in third which was a good highlight.

Wednesday 28th March 2012 I did some home gardening and some photos although I have been trying to do a small batch of photos every day and gradually eat my way through the piles.

Thursday 29th March 2012 we had a day out shopping and finished at Erina Fair where I caught Peter in a weak moment and got an Ipad which I have been wanting for a long time.  It is more a want than a need as my Iphone is very efficient and I love it.  The Ipad has a better camera and is more comfortable to work with.  The Apple products are really good and I never cease to be amazed at the applications that are available. I was happy to know that I did not need to purchase a contract for a sim card as I can WIFY to my computer at home or hotspot from my Iphone.  Technology is fantastic and Apple seem to leading the way. I spent the rest of the day setting up the Ipad to WIFI to my computer at home.  It worked very easily and I had no problems with it at all.

Friday 30th March 2012 I spent most of the day gardening & filled up a green bin.  With all the rain we have had the plants and weeds have grown overnight.  Friday Evening we went to the Golf Club for Raffle night where I could test out the Ipad camera inside the club where the downlights have made it difficult to get good photos on my Iphone.

Saturday 31st March 2012 after shopping I was over at the Golf Club to prepare the wedding garden for a wedding later that day.  It was beautiful weather & the wedding garden looked lovely in purple & white with the tibouchoinas, gardenias & camelias all in flower.  Rod, Anne, Joel & Emily called around in the afternoon & stayed for dinner which was good as we could catch up with the two grandschildren.  Anne got to have a play with the Ipad. Anne is an accomplished piano player & one of the application was piano music which she played beautifully.

Sunday 1st April 2012 we were over at Rod & Anne's before going to golf.  I had some fun playing with Joel and he enjoyed checking out the Ipad where I have downloaded some children's books and games,  Emily was asleep so we did not get to see her as we had to go to golf.  Our playing partners were Clyde & Lyn Cruickshanks and we had a good fun day.  Clyde got a couple of birdies which was a good highlight. Peter played well and scored 40 points. The boys beat us for the keno ticket but unfortunately we did not win anything from it.  We stayed for dinner at the Club with Clyde & Lyn & a few of the other golfers which finished off a good day.

Monday 2nd April 2012 we were at the club by 7.00am for F-Troop.  We had a busy day & only had a small crew to work with.  We got some good jobs done.  We have been donated a lot of garden plants so we spent the morning planting them out into the gardens.  We had a quite day outside of that as it was Greg's birthday and a day of reflection and heavy heart.

Tuesday 3rd April 2012 I played golf with Lorraine Bignall & Doreen Vines.  Doreen rode with me in the cart  and we had a good day.  The weather was lovely even though my golf was a bit ordinary I enjoyed the day. I did manage to par one of the more difficult holes so that was a highlight.

Wednesday 4th April 2012 I went shopping with Anne & Emily to buy Joel's Birthday present. Joel is a lover of Chuggington Trains & they were on sale at Target.   .It seemed like a good time to do some buying while the sale was on.  I also got a present for Emily's birthday so I am now all prepared for their birthday's in May and June.   I was able to get some Easter Eggs in a big haulage truck for Joel and a pink fluffy Easter Rabbit for Emily because she cannot have chocolate.   We had a lovely morning at Erina and did some bargain shopping.  At midday Anne dropped me to the Dentist in Gosford where I had to have a broken tooth repaired.  It was no drama and the tooth was easily fixed.   I have dental cover in our health fund so I could claim the cost straight back on line.

Thursday 5th April 2012 I had a catch up day with the housework & got some photos done as well as playing with my Ipad.  In the afternoon I called over the Margaret Coleman's to get our tax work done. Margaret works from home so I had a coffee and chat with her at the same time. Margaret & Paul have got all the latest computer techology & they showed me how I could hotspot from my Iphone to my Ipad and get internet coverage when I am away from home and travelling. That was a great highlight for me  Peter was on Raffle Duty at the Golf Club so we went over for dinner. Margaret & Paul came over for dinner as well so we had a good chance to catch up and talk about holidays as Margaret & Paul are anticipating travelling at the end of the year.  I won a meat tray at the raffles and swapped it for a basket of Easter Eggs that I could impress Joel with.  I reckon I should be number one Nanny this Sunday at Easter Breakfast.

Friday 6th April 2012 we worked at the Golf Club all day.  Peter was painting inside the clubhouse while it was closed for Good Friday.  I worked all day in the gardens getting a few more plants in & cutting some hedges.  It was beautiful weather & I was happy to be outside.

Saturday 7th April 2012 I was up early to watch the US Masters Golf and caught up with my backlog of ironing at the same time.  Peter is playing golf so I am spending the day catching up with my computer work like this blog - that I have not found enough spare hours to do previously.  The time has just flown this week probably because I have been playing with my Ipad and downloading Applications.  I have had to relocate my icons into folders as I have so many downloaded it was hard to find what I was looking for.  The Ipad instruction manual is 144 pages long so I am sifting my way through all the information.  Everything is easy once you know how!  We are going out to dinner tonight to Mark & Anne's so I will have to find some time for a nanny nap this afternoon.

Tomorrow we are having breakfast at Rod & Anne's with all of the family.  Shane & Sam are coming as well as Anne's parents so we will have a lovely morning with the kids having Easter Egg hunts & the like.  Anne has excelled herself this week cooking her own Easter Hot Cross Buns and some Easter cup cakes.  We are taking some nice healthy Orange Juice as our contribution and the basket of Easter eggs from the raffle prize.
I was happy to hear the the "Annie" doll that I bought for Emily finally turned up in the mail. I bought it from the theatre when we saw "Annie" last month.  They did not have any in stock on the day so we had to order one.  It had taken so long to arrive that I had given up hope. All is well that ends well.
