Tuesday 3rd May 2011

This week has been full of frustrating showers which has prevented a lot of outdoor activity.

The rain has been good for the garden but not good for golf.

Wednesday 27th April 2011 was a showery day so I spent a lot of time on my travel blog & sorting photos into folders to save. I went into Gosford to do some shopping & got a phone call from Tammy & Trent who were travelling back to Canberra from Diamond Beach. Tammy Trent, Bailey and Noah called in & stayed for lunch so we had a good catch up.

Thursday 28th April 2011 was another quiet day with the exception of having lunch with my friends from Coopers & Lybrand days, Heather & Lorraine. We met for lunch at the Frangipani Cafe in Gosford & had a good catch up.

Friday 29th April 2011 was more of the same. A trip to Bunnings garden centre always brightens me up and of course I could not help myself buying another rose for my garden and some begonias to brighten up the hanging baskets.

Saturday 30th April 2011 Peter played golf with Butch at Gosford (through the showers) & I spent the day catching up around the house. Saturday night we went out to the Grange Hotel for Dinner with friends from the Golf Club and then on to the Laycock Theatre for Tom Burlinson singing songs from the Swing Era which was very entertaining.

Sunday 1st May 2011 Rod & Joel arrived for breakfast at 7.00am & stayed until 3.30pm in the afternoon when Anne finished work. I had a wonderful day entertaining Joel. We had a couple of walks to the railway station to see the trains and cars. Among other things we made some chocolate cakes, played in the sand pit, walked in the back garden & blew some bubbles with the bubble pipe and so on. We both needed a "nanny nap" in the afternoon. We did not play golf as it has been so wet & Peter was playing again tomorrow so three days in a row is a bit much. It was nice to have a hot sunny day which meant I could take Joel outside. All his curls are gone as Anne gave him a haircut through the week.

Monday 2nd May 2011 Peter was on his way at 5.30am to play golf at St Michael's in Sydney.

I spent the day at F-Troop starting at 7.00am and getting home at 2.00pm. Thankfully it did not rain so we got a lot of work done at F-Troop. I got word from Barry & Dale today that Jenny's murder case of 13 years ago had been solved and the police arrested the culprit today. It is wonderful that Jen will get some justice.

Tuesday 3rd May 2011 I did not play golf as the course is still very wet. I needed to go into Gosford to update some details with Centrelink and while there did some retail therapy and had a nice lunch at the Frangipani Cafe to fill in the day.

Peter is going into hospital day surgery tomorrow for the removal of a cataract from his eye. It will be good to have his sight restored properly. I will be taking my sudoku book for the waiting room.
