Monday 2nd August 2010

This week was very busy week between rain showers with gardening at home, golf & helping out at the Golf Club Pro Shop renovations. I have finally got over my head cold which was hard to shake off with all the hot & cold changing weather.
I have attached some photo's of Graham & Anne ( & Co) from their recent holiday in the snow.

Tuesday 27th July 2010 we had nice weather for golf but the course was very wet under foot.
My playing partners were Rosalie Dyer and Yvonne Wilson & we had a good day out in the sunshine. Until such time as the course dries up a bit golf will be hard work.

Wednesday 28th July 2010 we had a bad weather day with rain falling for much of the day. The forecast was for increasing showers & that is what we got. I filled the day in catching up with housework & some blogging. I had intended to do some more rose pruning but gave up after I had got wet on each of my three attempts.

Thursday 29th July 2010 I collected my camera from the repair shop. The zoom lens had come out of alignment & fortunately t was fixed under warranty. We spent the rest of the day doing tidy up work at the Pro Shop renovations. The girls golf comp. was cancelled due to the bad weather. We worked until 4.30 pm which was a big day. I managed to catch up with a bit of my blogging for my travel blog which has fallen behind with neglect.

Friday 30th July 2010 I did some Rose pruning & weeding & spent the rest of the day at the
at the Pro Shop renovations & planting out some new plants in the wedding garden. We painted the floor in the new buggy room which took a while to prepare & paint. Another big day.

Saturday 31st July 2010 we had some shopping to do & then I pruned a few more roses before spending a few hours at the Pro Shop renovations.
Sunday 1st August 2010 I was up early to do some pruning before Rod, Anne & Joel came for breakfast. Anne is on the improve slowly & Joel seemed to be feeling better & was a lot chirpier.
We had some good quality time with Joel & he loved his walk around the block in his pram checking out the neighbourhood. Joel was asleep when we left for golf at 11 o'clock.
Our playing partners at golf were John & Julie Hazzard who are great company. John & Julie played well & won the 2 Ball Event of the day which was our highlight. We stayed for dinner with John & Julie which finished off a good day. We were lucky enough to have a sunny day even if it was very wet underfoot which made golf hard work.

Monday 2nd August 2010 (today) I was up at the crack of dawn to cut some Ivy and fresh camellias to decorate the tables at the golf club for the Ladies District Pennants Presentation being held today. We were at F-Troop at 7.00 am. It was a freezing cold day with bone shattering winds which made work out on the course difficult. We did manage to get some good jobs done as well as making more progress with the Pro Shop Renovations which was very satisfying. It was lovely to see some sunshine & the wind will be useful in drying up the course.

In all it was a hard work week but I did make some inroads with my gardening work & the Pro Shop renovations are starting to take shape.
