Monday 14th June 2010

The weather improved through the week & we have had some lovely sunny, cool days & cold nights. There was not a lot of golf this week as I was still in recovery and Peter went down with the same virus as I had last week which laid him low for a couple of days which has now made me think that it must have been more of a floating virus than food poisoning. In any case what ever it was certainly took it's toll leaving us with low energy so not much got done this week.
Tuesday 8th June 2010 Peter was sick & the car was booked in for a registration check & some maintenance done. The car had to be delivered & collected later in the day as the registration was due tomorrow. At midday I went over to the Golf presentation to collect the results slip & take photos of the winners and have a catchup with the girls.
Wednesday 9th June 2010 Peter was still laid low & did not go to his scheduled golf. I took a trip into Gosford to organise the car registration & I also had to sign off some legal papers to finalize the last of the outstanding matters pertaining to last year's court case so I can close the door on all of that. I was still not 100% so had an easy day at home for the afternoon.
Thursday 10th June 2010 we had an F-Troop job to do at the 15th bunkers where we planted out 200 lomandra grasses for the greens staff. We got the job done fairly quickly with some good helpers on hand & took the rest of the day off as a recovery day. We took a trip to Aldi to check out their specials for this week & also called in to say hello to Shane & Sam at their home later in the afternoon.
Friday 11th June 2010 I spent 6 hours cleaning up the front gardens, trimming the crepe myrtle tree & cutting back the ivy and hedging. The recent rain has made all the weeds flourish. I have attached some photos of the "Perfect Moment" roses that I cut from the garden this morning.
I will be pruning all the roses back in a couple of weeks which will be big job.
Saturday 12th June 2010 there was the household shopping & a catch up with the house cleaning in general. We have finally had some sunshine this week so it was a catchup with the washing and ironing as well.
Sunday 13th June 2010 Rod & Joel arrived early for breakfast & stayed for the morning. Anne was working today so we didn't get to see her. Joel is growing up very quickly and has a little baby language of his own. He has not learnt to say "No" yet. He is on the verge of walking - moving very quickly around the furniture. We had some good quality time with Joel before going to golf. Our golf partners today were Russ & Jacque Davidson & they were great company. My golf was not to be bragged about and Jacque was the star of the day. We had a nice day and the weather was perfect for golf. We stayed for dinner at the club with some of our friends. Robin Incoll made a beautiful woolen blanket for Peter which she gave to him at the club. Robin also knitted the cream rug that Mum loved so much. I inherited Mum's rug & use it when watching TV. Peter complained to Robin that he did not have a rug - so she especially made it for him. Robin also made a lovely blue blanket for Joel when he was born.
Monday 14th June 2010 (today) was a long weekend so we did not have a formal F-Troop day. Georgina Lamb volunteered to come & help me with the gardens so we worked over at the course for the morning planting, trimming, weeding and watering & got a lot of work done.
It was a beautiful day and it was nice to be out in the sunshine.
The rest of the week until Thursday has been promised as fine weather so all should be good for golf tomorrow. My energy levels have been low with recovery from back-to-back virus' taking their toll. A week in the tropics may be just what the Doctor ordered so I am hoping to spring back to life to enjoy that.
