Friday 10th April 2009

This has been a rather busy week starting with golf on Sunday. We were lucky enough to get good weather and the great company of George and Vicki Foster. George and Vicki both scored well but had little help from me towards the team score. It was not one of my better games but the 19th hole was good and we stayed on for dinner at the club.
Monday it was an early 7.00am start with F-Troop at the golf gardens. We are creating a new garden from scratch and have had to put some hard yards into the design and laying of the paths before any gardens can be planted. It was a long and hard mornings work finishing well after lunch break.
Tuesday I had a nice day at golf playing in a 4 person Ambrose with Judy Verlander, Elizabeth MacNamara and Rita Gilmour. We did not win the day but had some highlights along the way.
Wednesday we had a nice day at Matcham at Fay Bailey's beautiful property for lunch. Fay is one of our regular golfers who is out of action for 12 weeks with an injured foot. We (the golf girls) decided to visit and take out a nice lunch and a few wines to cheer her up.
Thursday I put in a few hours in my garden before going over to the golf club to do some more work on the new garden, returning later in the afternoon to finish off some gardening at home.
Peter, Shane, Rod and Leonard have gone to Diamond Beach for the Easter Break to do some "Bonding"and "Fishing" which leaves me free for four days to catch up on my neglected gardens at home among other things.
One of the "other things" was lunch at Fisherman's Wharf at The Entrance today. I have not been there for quite some time and did not know that they had a new Seafood Restaurant opened there in the style of "Fisherman's Wharf"at Woy Woy. At least the downstairs bit was.
Upstairs where we went to lunch was more up market, white linen table cloths and a classy setting overlooking the water near The Entrance bridge. Lobster was on the menu so that was a popular choice by most. I am not much of a seafood eater but ordered fish fillets, as after all it was "Good Friday".
The day was marred by George needing to be taken to Hospital with a numbing sensation in his leg. Not wanting to trust his luck on a public holiday trying to find a Doctor on duty it made sense to go straight to hospital where he is undergoing tests to find the problem. We are all wishing him a speedy recovery & commiserating with him about missing out on the lobster lunch.
Butch and Anne called in on their way home from Kincumber this evening. They are leaving for a holiday to Canada and USA on Sunday and are planning to do some skiing over there.
In between all of these activities I have managed to get a fair bit of gardening done & hope to have the gardens looking much better by the end of the Easter break. I am not playing golf on Sunday so I can focus on what I need to do here.
For those of you who are following my court case. The hearing set for this coming week (17th April) will be adjourned until 8th May.
