We have had some good weather this week and have had a chance to get out in the gardens both here and at the golf club.
Friday 7th November was a recovery day.
Saturday 8th was a quite day working at the golf club gardens in the morning & at home in the afternoon.
Sunday 9th was a great day for golf. Our playing partners on the day were Mary Beard & Terry Bowditch. The day was made all the better for the girls beating the boys for a keno ticket. We were all square on the 17th and then Mary came home with a lovely par, 5/4 on the 18th to win the day for us. We had dinner at the club with some of the late stayers.
Monday 10th was a huge day for the F-Troop. We cleaned up along the front footpath of the club. We took away 7 trailer loads and 3 tractors loads of rubbish from an area that had not been cleaned for about 25 years.
Rod has been looking for a replacement work utility & came over to tell us about one that he was interested in. We looked up the Govt. auctions site on the internet for a similar vehicle & found a perfect utility for him & it was at Ourimbah - just a short drive away. We took a drive to have a look at it. It was love at first sight & Rod got his ute. Rod & Anne stayed for a baked dinner that night.
Tuesday 11th, today I did some watering at the golf club gardens. We needed some more goldfish for our fishpond & fishtank so took a run out to buy some & then came home to do more
gardening at home as it was green disposal bin tonight & I have got plenty of weeds to get rid of.
While I was gardening Peter & Rod went to collect the work Ute. Rod arrived with his new utility ( which he has named "Awesome one") looking very pleased with himself. I was happy as that meant I got my little Hyundai back which he had borrowed the last week or so while he was looking for a replacement vehicle.
