Tuesday 16th September 2014

This last few weeks we have had a lot of rain with just the last couple of days looking like spring.

Saturday 23rd August 2014 I went to swimming lessons with Anne & the kids.  In the afternoon I worked in the Golf Club Gardens.

Sunday 24th August 2014 we played golf with John & Julie Hazzard in the second round of the Team Series.  We had a good day with our team coming second in the series thanks to our other two playing partners.  That evening we had dinner at the Golf Club.

Monday 25th August 2014 we had a busy day at F-Troop doing as much as we could getting the gardens ready for the Garden Competition judging due on the 2nd September.

Tuesday 26th August 2014 The Golf was rained out so I went out to Bunnings and bought some flowers for my garden at home.

Wednesday 27th August 2014 I worked in the golf club gardens in the morning and had my nails done in the afternoon.

Thursday 28th August 2014 I put in another day at the Golf Club Gardens.

Friday 29th August 2014 I was at the gardens again.  That evening we went to the Golf Club for dinner and the raffles.

Saturday 30th August 2014 I did some gardening in the morning and then went out to Masters with Anne and found some plants that I wanted for my garden at home.

Sunday 31st August 2014 Peter was sick with a cold - so I went over to the club to do some garden work - getting ready for the judging.

Monday 1st September 2014 we had a big day at F-Troop getting the last of the gardens tidied up before the judging tomorrow.

Tuesday 2nd September 2014 I met the garden judges at the course and showed them through all of the Club Gardens.  We have to wait until Thursday 18th to get the results.

Wednesday 3rd September 2014 I had a morning in Gosford doing some retail therapy before Anne bought Joel and Emily over to stay with us the night.  The kids were very good and no trouble to look after.  The weather has not been good with showers every other day.

Thursday 4th September 2014 I promised Joel & Emily that I would take them for a ride in the golf cart and have a picnic.  They loved the morning checking out the gardens etc.  Anne & Grace came around in the afternoon and stayed for dinner.

Friday 5th September 2014 I turned my attention to the gardens at home adding fertilizer to the roses between showers.  That evening we went to the Golf Club for dinner and raffles.

Saturday 6th September 2014 we did the household shopping.  In the late afternoon I went over to the club to take photos of one of the Members who got married that morning and then played golf in the afternoon while his bride waited for him. They had been together for 22 years and have 4  children so I guess one could be a bit relaxed  after all that time.

Sunday 7th September 2014 (Father's Day) golf was washed out.  We went over to Rod's in the morning to see them and Peter helped Rod with his back yard fence.  That evening we went to the Gosford Hotel for dinner.

Monday 8th September 2014 we went F-Troop but were a bit restricted with what we could do because the course was so wet.  In the afternoon I went to the Doctors for my checkup and got a bad report on my blood pressure.  I have to go back next month to make sure I have improved.

Tuesday 9th September 2014 the golf course was still wet so I could not take out the golf cart.  I played golf with Cheryl Davidson & Shirley Daly and had a good day - pity about the golf scores. It was a fine day but it was very wet underfoot.

Wednesday 10th September 2014 I turned my attention back to the gardens at home weeding the back gardens and planting in some annuals, I poisoned the weeds in the paths and gutters.

Thursday 11th September 2014 I planted out more annuals and worked in the gardens at home. In the afternoon we dropped the air bed over to Anne as she had visitors coming.

Friday 12th September 2014 we went to Erina to pick up some mulch and Bunnings where I bought more fertilizer and a new rose.  That evening we had dinner at the Golf Club and then went to Louise Stimpson's concert at the Laycock Theatre.

Saturday 13th September 2014 I spent the whole day in the back gardens, wedding, fertilizing and mulching.

Sunday 14th September 2014 we played golf with Duncan & Rosalie Dyer.  We had a good day in lovely weather playing in the President vs Captain's day.  We won for the President's side. I won nearest the pin at the 8th which was a good highlight.

Monday 15th September 2014 We were up early for F-Troop with a lot of catch up work to do after all of the rain.

Tuesday 16th September 2014 I did not go to golf - instead started work on fertilizing and mulching the front gardens.  We had a lovely sunny day after some brief showers in the morning so I got a lot done.

Hopefully the weather will stay fine so I can get the rest up to scratch.
