Thursday 1st May 2014

We had a very busy week welcoming our third grandchild - Grace Nicole and looking after Joel and Emily for a time while Anne was in hospital.

Tuesday 22nd April 2014 I had a catch up day at home weeding and dead heading the roses.

Wednesday 23rd April 2014 I had a morning at the Golf Club doing some catch up gardening over there.  Anne went into hospital to prepare for the birth of their 3rd child.  Joel and Emily were at Grandma & Granddad's place for the night.

Thursday 23rd April 2014 Joel and Emily came over to our house for a two night sleep over.  In the afternoon we took them to the Circus that was at the waterfront at Gosford.  Joel and Emily loved the Circus, the pony rides and the goodies that come with it.  Rod rang just before the Circus started to tell us that Grace had been born at 1.50pm.  Both Anne and Grace were well so that was great news.

Friday 24th April 2014 was a rainy cold day so we spent the day at home cooking cakes etc.  Joel was so tired from all the excitement of the week  he went to bed early and had a good catch up sleep that he needed.  Both Joel and Emily were very well behaved considering they had been away from their mother for three days.

Saturday 25th April 2014 Rod picked Joel and Emily up so they could go to the hospital to visit Anne and meet their new baby sister.  We did the household shopping, Peter went to golf and I went to visit Anne at the hospital at 2.30 so I could have my first cuddle of Grace.

Sunday 26th April 2014 it was a rainy day so we held back at home for a while for the rain to ease before we went to the Golf Club and picked the trailer and filled it with mulch to take to Shane's house at Gwandalan.  We spent the day there looking at the good restoration work Shane had done on the house and then worked on creating some gardens at the front of the house and trimmed some shrubs at the back.  That evening we had dinner at the Gosford Hotel with Shane & Danielle to finish off a good days work.

Monday 27th April 2014 we went to F-Troop at 7.00am.  We did not have a lot of helpers but managed to get some good work done.  In the afternoon we both visited Anne in hospital and had some more cuddles.

Tuesday 28th April 2014 I did not play golf but had a day at home catching up with washing.  Rod bought over his washing as well so that kept the washing machine going. Emily came with him as she had a bit a cold and had a day off Kindy.

Wednesday 29th April 2014 the weather was not too good in the morning but then cleared. We got up early and went to Aldi to get a couple of their specials and then Peter went to golf.  I spent some time at the Golf Club gardens and then did some catch up on my holiday photos.  My travel blog was sadly behind as I had not even uploaded my Melbourne photos at this stage.  I have edited all the photos and hope to have the China photos on in the next week. Anne came home from hospital with Grace so she was happy.

Thursday 1st May 2014 I got up early to finish uploading my Melbourne photos to my travel blog.  Rod & Joel called over to fill in some hours while the girls (Anne, Emily and Grace) had a rest day at home. Joel helped me in the back garden and then we went to the Golf Club where I kept him amused with a ride on the golf cart & doing some more gardening over there.  Rod helped Peter with a maintenance job at the Golf Club and then went home to do the shopping.  Shane & Danielle called in on their way to see Anne and baby Grace.

The weather is turning cooler with a taste of winter forecast for this weekend.  There is a garden wedding at the club tomorrow so I will be hands on deck again for that tomorrow.
