Another rather full week has flown by. I am feeling much better for my double dose of anti biotic to relieve the chest infection.

Thursday 31st October 2013 I spent a morning in the back gardens at home cleaning up the BBQ area and went over to the Golf Club to do a couple of jobs.

Friday 1st November we did the household shopping and then some more gardening.  We went to the Golf Club for dinner and raffles and won another leg of lamb.

Saturday 2nd November 2013 I spent the morning at the golf club cleaning up the wedding garden for the Club Open Day to be held on Sunday in conjunction with the Bridal Fair.

Sunday 3rd November 2013 we played in the Foursomes Championships - 27 holes starting at 9.30am.
Our playing partners were Wal & Fay Bailey, Jann Henebury and Steve Gilham.  We had a fun day but did not play our best golf - so unfortunately no prizes for us.  After golf we went to the Gosford Hotel for dinner with a group of the golfers.

Monday 4th November 2013 was F-Troop day and we were there early so we could get some jobs done before a Ladies District Competition started.  I wanted to do some hedging so all the noise had to be finished by 8 o'clock.  We got some good work even though we only had a handful of workers.  In the afternoon Anne, Joel, Emily and Rod came over to wish Peter a Happy Birthday as they would not be seeing him on Melbourne Cup Day which was his birthday.   We asked them to stay for dinner and cooked up a baked dinner for all before we remembered that we had to be at the Golf Club for a Melbourne Cup Sweep Dinner.  It was a big rush to get ready but we got there on time after feeding all the family at home.  We did not draw a good horse unfortunately.

Tuesday 5th November was Peter's Birthday and he was spending the day with his golf mates which he does every year.  I played golf in an 8 o'clock shotgun start so had to leave home quiet early.  My playing partners were Lorraine Bignall, Georgina Lamb & Sandra Innes.  We had a lovely day even though it was a bit cool.  We did not play well enough to win any big prizes but enjoyed the Fashion Parade and watched the Race at the Golf Club.  I won second prize and came out $5 in front.

Wednesday 6th November 2013 I went over to Anne's with all the succulent plants that I had gathered for her.  We spent the day trimming, weeding, planting and mulching.  Anne's Mum and Dad were there and Ron finished the pavers in the back yard.  The area looked very nice and tidy at the end of the day and Anne was happy with it.

Thursday 7th November 2013 I was up early to water the gardens as it was going to be a very hot day.  Ron & Rae called around to collect their succulent plants which only left me four pots to go to the Golf Club.  Peter had some work to do over there so we took the plants over and I got some gardening done while I was waiting for Peter to finish.  We went out for lunch and then came home for a nanny nap as the day was so hot.

It is going to be worse tomorrow.  I am having lunch at Avoca Beach tomorrow so that should be nice out there.
