On the recovery road at last - the weather has improved so all is well.
Thursday 4th April 2013 I had a quiet day at home working in the back garden weeding and dead heading for a while. Starting to feel better at last.
Friday 5th April 2013 I was up early to cut some roses to take to the girls at my Doctor's office. I needed to get my medications up to date and get a flu shot but had not bargained on my Doctor wanting me to have a shot for Typhoid because we are going to Vietnam shortly. Then I was off to the chemist to fill the scripts which cost me about $160 - thankfully some of it is claimable on our medical fund. I had to make an appointment for next week to go back for my injection. At 1 o'clock I met up with Lorraine, Margaret & Nancy for our regular monthly lunch at Alexanders Restaurant. Friday evening we went over to the club for raffles and won a meat tray.
Saturday 6th April 2013 we did the household shopping and then I went to the Golf Club to clean up for an afternoon wedding that was being held in the wedding garden.
Sunday 7th April 2013 Rod, Anne, Joel & Emily came over for breakfast before we went to golf. I had some good quality time with the kids before we left about 11 o'clock for golf. Our playing partners were David & Kath Small and we had a fun day. The boys beat the girls for the keno ticket but Kath and I both got a 4 pointer each on the last hole which made our day. After golf we went to the Gosford Hotel for dinner with some of the golfers from the club .
Monday 8th April 2013 we were up early for F-Troop and worked through till lunchtime. We got some good work done even though we did not have many helpers. When I got home I trimmed the front hedges as they had grown out of control with all the wet weather.
Tuesday 9th April 2013 I played golf early 8.00am start with Lynn Puiatti and Rhonda Robertson. We had a good day, even though my golf was not good and we got rained on the last three holes. Rhonda was our champion of the day. Shane called around in the afternoon for a chat and a catch up before he went to bowls.
Wednesday 10th April 2013 I was up early to cut some roses to take to my hairdresser. I had a 9 o'clock appointment to have a cut and colour - getting ready for Vietnam. I did some weekend shopping and picked up some bits and pieces that needed for travelling. In the afternoon I caught up with a few jobs about the house including the ironing so that I had the house up to date. Anne called in after work to use the walking machine and while here she gave my my Typhoid injection as I did not want to leave it till the last minute. It was not too bad & my arm was not sore.
Thursday 11th April 2013 (today) we went out to Erina to do some last minute holiday shopping and to learn how to turn my phone data off properly while we are overseas so that I do not incur excess charges. After that we went to Bunnings to pick up some things for the golf club & then to the club to drop some things off and to organise some things for Monday's F-Troop. This afternoon I filled up a green garbage bin after trimming some of the shrubs in the front garden. I have started getting everything out ready to pack for our trip. We are taking our golf clubs this time so I need to pack light.
Tomorrow we are picking up some American Dollars to take with us to Vietnam & then in the afternoon Joel and Emily are coming over for a night stop over as Rod and Anne are having the weekend in Sydney attending a friend's wedding.
