Saturday 9th February 2013

Time has flown and I seem to have been multi tasking all week.

Thursday 31st January 2013 was Rod's 40th birthday.  Rod, Anne, Joel & Emily came over for a Mum's Lamb Roast and some birthday cupcakes.  Luckily we had won a Baked dinner package at the Friday night raffles last Friday.  I spent the day at home cooking the cupcakes and baked dinner.  We had a good night and the kids loved blowing out the candles with Rod. Peter had a Board Meeting and had top miss the dinner.

Friday 1st February 2013 I did some gardening in the morning and in the afternoon helped Anne to decorate the room at the Golf Club for Rod's 40th Birthday Party where he had invited 40 friends to help him celebrate.  By the time we had finished decorating the skies opened with torrential rain and the temperature dropped to very cold.  We had a good night dancing to a live band until about 11.30 and then Sam, Shane & a few friends came to our place for a night cap.  Rod went out on the town with his mates.  I think we got to bed something like 2.30 am.

Saturday 2nd February 2013 we were up at a reasonable time as one of Rod's friends stayed the night and Shane & Sam came around to pick him up the next morning and stayed for breakfast.  I had to go over to the Golf Club in the afternoon to clean up the area for the Bridal Expo that was being held there on Sunday.

Sunday 3rd February 2013 Rod & Anne & the kids came around for breakfast & to pick up all the birthday presents from the party that finished up at our place.  We were playing golf early so had to get away by 10.30ish.  Our playing partners were Rosalie & Duncan Dyer & we had a good day with the boys beating the girls for the keno ticket on the 17th hole.  After golf we went to the Gosford Hotel for dinner with a few of our golf friends.

Monday 4th February 2013 we were up early for F-Troop and had a very busy day shifting mulch & tidying the gardens.  In the afternoon I had to go out to the bank & the chemist and then write up the F-Troop report for the Club Newsletter so I had a very exhausting day.

Tuesday 5th February 2013 I was up very early for a 7.30 shotgun start for our Ladies Opening Day at Golf.  My playing partners were Rosalie Dyer & Kath Payn and we played well enough to win a ball. It was the dreaded BB Vs Par Team Event and our highlight was that we did not have any wipes.  Kay rang and we had a good catch up chat as it was her 60th birthday tomorrow.  Hard to believe - Kay does not look  within a cooee of 60.

Wednesday 6th February 2013 I was up very early to beat the morning heat as I wanted to spray all of the roses.  I was able to get it done before the heat arrived and there was no wind.  It took me the rest of the day to weed and dead head the gardens but it all looked good and the roses are budding up beautifully after their recent fertilizer hit.  I hope we do not get any more excessive heat days to burn them off.

Thursday 7th February 2013 we went over to the Golf Club to trim back one of the Magnolia Trees that has got an infection and had to change a few of the plants around the course to a new home.  We went to Bunnings to get a few things and had lunch at Subway before a bit of grocery shopping at West Gosford.

Friday 8th February 2013 I was out in the gardens to deadhead again and check for infections.  I had a catch up day with the washing and ironing.  I had lunch in Gosford with a couple of my old workmates and had a good catchup with them.  We went to the club for raffles and dinner and won a couple o meat trays which was a good bonus.

Saturday 9th February 2013 (today) we did some household shopping before Peter went to golf and I spent the day sorting out paperwork, got our tax work in order, sorted out the "in" box that had been building up for want of filing, paid some bills and generally stayed out of the heat.

Tonight we will be attending the Annual Presentation Night at the Golf Club so it is all happening.
