Tuesday 10th January 2012

This week was a bit of recovery from New Year's Eve celebrations - mainly gardening and catch up at home.

Sunday 1st January 2012 - New Year's Day was a very quiet day with a late morning rising and the afternoon at Rod & Anne's to see Joel and Emily at play.  We took over the New Year's hats and whistles for Joel and he was impressed.  Emily was very unimpressed with the noise and preferred a quite cuddle. We stayed for a BBQ dinner with Rod & Anne & then went quietly home for an early night.

Monday 2nd January 2012 we had an F-Troop day even though it was a Public Holiday.  There has been a lot of windy weather and the course was a mess.  We had eleven helpers which was good.

Tuesday 3rd January 2012 we had a catch up day at home cutting back the ivy and banksia rose that was growing into a jungle.

Wednesday 4th January 2012 Peter went to golf so I had a quite day at home cleaning out the gardens at the side of the house so that we have better vision on the security cameras.  I spent some time getting the security videos to play back but cannot get the iPhone to connect to the system so I will need a network expert to come and set the network up properly.

Thursday 5th January 2012 I did some more gardening at home & went out to Bunnings and picked up some more petunias for the golf club gardens and some garden fungicide spray.

Friday 6th January 2012 I was over at the golf club gardens to plant the petunias & tidy up a bit after all the winds. Late afternoon we went over to the Golf Club to have some time with Rod,Anne, Joel, Emily, Shane, Sam & Butch & Anne - staying for dinner with them which was a good catch up for all of us.  Peter went to cards and joined us later.  Graham & Anne stayed on with us for the Raffles and Members Draw where we did very well winning a leg of lamb, a breakfast tray of bacon, eggs and sausages and a tray of T-Bone steaks.  Anne realized that she did not have a key for the Copacabana house where they were intending to stay so they spent the night at our place.  "Aggie" their dog had made herself at home on the  veranda while we were over at the club.  We had a few more wines when we got to our place which seemed a good idea at the time.

Saturday 7th January 2012 was a very quiet day for me.  Peter & Butch went to golf and Anne went back to Copacabana when her sister Sue picked her up later in the morning.  The boys were very tired when they got home from golf.  Butch picked up "Aggie" and went to Copacabana for the weekend.  We had a very early night as we had golf the next day.

Sunday 8th January 2012 we had an easy morning and were at golf by 10.30 am.  Our playing partners were Duncan & Rosie Dyer who are great company.  We had a good day although the boys trounced us for the keno ticket.  Peter won the golf day with a nice 41 points and Duncan scored 38 points.  I was happy to win a ball.  We stayed for dinner at the club after golf with some of our golf friends which was a nice way to finish the day.

Monday 9th January 2012 we had a big day at F-Troop.  We had 17 volunteers which was great and we needed every one of them as the course was a mess from all the wild winds we have been getting.  We have had a couple of big projects happening and we have made some inroads to those jobs.

Tuesday 10th January 2012 I played 9 holes of social golf with Rosalie Dyer, Kath Payn & Mary Ellis. We also played with Chris Cayley who is a new member to be who needs to get a handicap card in.  We had a nice morning of golf & I spent some time with the girls who played in the 18 hole competition.  Shane called in on his way to bowls & he is going to arrange for a network expert to look at our security system.

Tomorrow I am babysitting Joel while Anne takes Emily to the doctors for a check up.  I am looking forward to that although he will run me into the ground with his energy.
