This week has been busy - as it should be one week out from Christmas. I was able to focus this week and get everything done including present buying, Christmas Cards, wrapping gifts & social events.
Wednesday 14th December 2011 Peter was at golf so I had a chance to get some golf gardens done with Di Beechey working to 11 o'clock when Peter needed the golf cart to play golf. In the afternoon I went into Gosford and posted all of our cards & tidied up a bit at home.
Thursday 15th December 2011 we went out to Erina Fair to see Santa Clause with Joel & Emily. We had coffee with Anne's Mum Rae and Anne's Aunty Gale. Joel was a lot better with Santa this year & was happy when he could ring Santa's bell. Emily was quite comfortable with Santa & smiled at the appropriate moment.
We managed to get Emily's Christmas present from ToysRus at Erina which was the last of my gift purchases.
After that we went out to Dulux paints to buy some paint for the Golf Club so that maintenance can be done over the holiday period.
Friday 16th December 2011 I caught up with the washing & ironing and then went over to the Golf Club with Peter to help him to put up Christmas lights for the Badge Draw & Raffle night that evening. I cleaned up underneath the club where the function was to be. That evening Peter played in the 9 hole ambrose & was on duty on the raffle night. I went out to Terrigal Golf Club with Anne & Mark to see Louise receive her award at the "Molly" Awards night. We had dinner at the Terrigal club & then watched the awards.
Saturday 17th December 2011 I spent the day wrapping presents & cleaning the house & generally getting myself ready for the Christmas period.
Sunday 18th December 2011 we were over at Rod & Anne's to have some time with the kids before we left for golf for a 11.30 start. Our playing partners were Wally & Rhonda Robertson & we had a lovely day. The weather was kind to us and we did not get wet. I had a good round - the best for a long while - so I was happy playing to my handicap & winning a ball. We stayed for dinner at the club with Rhonda & Wally & some of our other golf friends.
Monday 19th December 2011 (today) we were up early. I have been back at my walking resume the last week or so and am getting my walking legs back so that I can get back to an hour a day on my treadmill.
I walked for 1/2 hour or so & then went to F-Troop at 7.00am for a busy morning of work at the club. The Golf Club Board put on a Christmas Luncheon for all the F-Troop workers and their partners at 12.30 pm so we had a nice afternoon there. (photo attached of the F-Troop group).
We have had rain threatening all week & tonight we have had a couple of downpours. There is more rain forecast but it will not worry me much as I am organised at this point. I am not playing golf tomorrow so I can have a free day for last minute matters before Christmas.
