February 2017 was a busy month - a lot of gardening and golf.  The weather has been a mixture of heat and rain. The heat wave of January/February was a bit devastating for my roses but they will recover in the autumn.

The golfing weather has been either too hot or too wet - now the summer has come to an end we are looking forward to more comfortable golfing weather.

I have had some beautiful roses out and am looking forward to the autumn flush.

January Roses

January roses

The early summer forecast said a very hot summer ahead - and they were very right! January has been very hot to the extent that some of my roses were burnt off. Some days I picked the roses to save them from the heat.

We had another busy month - entertaining the kids insuring the school holidays, playing golf and working in the gardens at the golf club and at home.

Rod and Anne had a week at Anna Bay in the camper van and had an enjoyable week. It is good to see the van is being used.

The hot weather has kept me confined into the air conditioning on some days so I have spent time sorting old records and shredding unwanted records. It is time consuming but good to get it sorted.
