We have had a very busy month of July with school holidays, pruning roses, family visitors and wedding not to mention the early arrival of Shane and Danielle's daughter Darcy Janice who was born six weeks and two days early and all of that happening at the same time as our family were here for the wedding. Nice timing really as we had good company to share the champagne with.
My roses have all been pruned and waiting for spring to happen.
We had some fun with Joel and Emily during the school holidays and sleep overs.
We had Phil and Lorraine stay over from Thursday to Monday along with Kerry. Lyn an Richard arrived on Friday and stayed over until Sunday morning. We had a great time at Lachlan and Kaillie's wedding which was held at the Great Hall of Sydney University followed by a fabulous reception at the 16ft skiff club at Mosman. We borrowed Kerry's 7 seater so we could all drive together to Sydney and back. We caught up with Dale and Barry at the wedding along with Graham and Anne and their family.
Darcy decided to make her arrival at 7.30 am on Sunday morning so we had a champagne breakfast to celebrate.
On Tuesday we went to Royal North Shore Hospital to see Danielle and to meet Darcy who was still in intensive care - so we could look but not touch. Since then Darcy has been doing well and transferred out of intensive care to high care and it all looks promising for a transfer back to Gosford for the weekend.
On Wednesday we had Grace for the day and school drop off and pick up for Joel. It was a miserable wet day so we amused Grace at home.
Golf was washed out so no golf for a week.
We had our Gosford Townies Reunion at the Woy Woy Hotel where we caught up with some of our footie mates. We had a nice long lunch where I had a chance to show off Darcy.
Joel and Emily came over for another sleep over and we had a walking excursion to see the trains at Gosford Railway Station and of course the important ice block even though it was a cold day.
Darcy and Danielle have been transferred from Royal North Shore Hospital to North Gosford Hospital where they have settled in for a week or two until Darcy is deemed ready to go home. She us doing very well and has regained her birth weight.
I managed to get in a game of golf this week with the girls.
On Friday I went to Grandparents day at Joel's school and listened to him read to us in his classroom.
The last weekend of July we had a busy weekend with the Mixed Team Series being played on Sunday where our team is running equal fourth after the first of three rounds.
The good news we have received is that Darcy is coming home from hospital on the 1st August - one month before her official due date. I have come down with a chest cold this morning so I have banned myself from cuddles until I am healthy.
