This month has been cold and wet for the most of it.

I have kept busy attempting to play golf in the rain, wind and mud -" not happy Jan"

I have made a start on the roses pruning, getting the back and side gardens done between bad weather.

We have all had turns of infections with Grace suffering the worst having a few trips to hospital, the rest of us with chest and throat infections. The weather has not helped being very cold at night.

Joel and Emily have both had turns of having sleepovers and I have done some school holiday babysitting which I have enjoyed.

Anne and I went to see Les Miserables this last week at the Capitol Theatre and enjoyed the day out.

We have some good dinners at the Gosford Hotel after golf on Sunday's which is becoming a weekly event.

We also had our bi-annual Townies reunion at the Gosford Sailing Club which was a good afternoon out.

Another nice evening out was dinner with George and Tosca at their newly renovated house at Davistown. When we were travelling overseas with George and Tosca about 2005 they bought a beautiful crystal light fitting which has finally been put together and now in pride of place in their new home.

At this stage I am over winter and am looking forward to summer.

Princess Emily's 4th Birthday

We seem to have had endless rain this last month which has curtailed the golf.

We have celebrated Joel's 6th and Emily's 4th Birthdays, Joel's first sports carnival,
Emily's first Dance Concert.  Little Grace is on the move and can stand up around the furniture.

Peter has had a week of golf in Queensland which he enjoyed.

While he was away I enjoyed golf and dinner with friends and Joel and Emily had a sleep over.

On the downside our washing machine packed it in so a new one was required so we replaced the old dryer as well so the laundry has been updated.

It will be nice to have the golf course dry out so we have a chance of a good game.
