Wednesday 25th June 2014

Winter has finally arrived along with the coughs and colds that go with it.

Saturday 14th June 2014 I had a day at home with a bit of a sore throat annoying me.  Peter arrived home from his Gold Coast Golf Tour about 3 o'clock in the afternoon.

Sunday 15th June 2014 I played golf at Wyong with Kevin O'Brien representing Gosford in the Keno 4BBB.  Our opposition players were Matt & Kate McKinnon from Toukley and they were great company.  Peter came along to watch us play and we were allowed to have a cart even though the Wyong Course was very wet and muddy.  It was not a good day for golf with a very cold wind but no further rain thank heavens.  Matt & Kate beat us by one point but Kevin & I came in 6th place thanks to good play from Kevin.
After golf we went to the Gosford Hotel for dinner with Kevin to finish off the day.

Monday 16th June 2014 was F-Troop Day.  The weather was cold but not as bad as the previous day.  We had a small crew but managed to get some good work done.  In the afternoon we went over to Rod & Anne's for Emily's 3rd Birthday.  Emily was very excited - dressed up in a Fairy Dress she had a wonderful day. We called into the Chemist to get some medication for my cold on the way home.

Tuesday 17th June 2014 I was feeling very down with my cold so I spent the day in bed in an attempt to make a quick recovery.  Change of season colds are so hard to avoid.

Wednesday 18th June 2014 I was feeling much better so I got a bit of gardening done at the golf club in the morning.

Thursday 19th June 2014 I went out to my hairdresser for a colour & cut to make me feel a bit better.

Friday 20th June 2014 I went with Anne to the new play centre at the Central Coast Leagues Club to keep Joel and Emily amused for a few hours.  We had lunch there and then came home so I could mind Joel and Emily while Anne & Grace had some checkups with their doctor.  That evening we went to the Golf Club for an Italian Dinner following the raffles and badge draw.  No raffle prizes for us this time.

Saturday 21st June 2014 we have been having trouble with our golf cart batteries.  Peter worked on the cart while I did some of the gardens.

Sunday 22nd June 2014 Shane & Danielle returned from their holiday in Bali looking tanned and healthy. We played golf with Bert & Annie Brink who are great company.  My golf was very ordinary until I got to the 13th hole where I had a Hole-in-One - my first ever!  From then on the golf score did not matter and we did much celebrating.  After golf we went to the Gosford Hotel for dinner for more celebrating.

Monday 23rd June 2014 we were up early for F-Troop as we had a lot of projects to get through. It was a very cold day to start with so we did not have too many helpers.  After F-Troop we went to the Wyee Nursery to buy some more plants for the Golf Club.

Tuesday 24th June 2014 I played golf with June Bowen and Elly Van Den Berg on a cold windy miserable day.  June won the day so that was out highlight of the day.  My golf was not good and I was happy to get inside for a hot coffee.

Wednesday 25th June 2014 my cold has reduced to a nuisance cough but overall I am feeling better.  I went to the Golf Club Gardens today while Peter played golf.  It was still cold and windy and not a nice day to be outside.  In the afternoon it was catchup at home out of the cold.

The weather is forecast to improve tomorrow which is encouraging.

Friday 13th June 2014

This was to be my relaxing week with Peter away at the Gold Coast on a golf tour.

I seem to have been busy every day with one thing or another.  The weather has not been the best and did interfere with my golf day this week.

Monday 9th June 2014  I went over to F-Troop at 7.00 am even though it was not an official F-Troop day we do not have time to miss a week.  Thankfully my F-Troop girls all turned up and we managed to finish a big project cleaning up the fenced garden at the 18th tee.  It was a massive task and felt a sense of achievement to get that area all cleaned up.  It was a big day and I got home about 2 o'clock.

Tuesday 10th June 2014 I was supposed to be playing golf.  The forecast of rain was true to it's word.  Both of my playing partners had pulled out the day before.  I hung in waiting to see if the weather improved but sadly it got worse and the golf was cancelled.  I had no option but to spend the day catching up at home and preparing a dinner for Shane and Danielle who were staying over night before heading off to Bali for a nice holiday.  Up until this time I had no disasters at home.  Every time Peter goes away something always goes wrong at home - sometimes with disastrous results.  This time it was mild by comparison to some -  with the clothes dryer blowing the fuse which  in turn turned off the Foxtel.  Being the independent lady I checked the fuse box and turned on what switch I thought was the culprit.  Unfortunately that ended up being the stove so my dinner midst cooking was turned off.  When Shane came home all was restored except that my main oven does not turn on. ( a good excuse to buy a new oven) and as well as that both of my kitchen lights no longer work (need new globes).  Peter has some fix it jobs to contend with when he arrives home on Saturday.

Wednesday 11th June 2014 I spent the morning at the Golf Club cleaning up the gardens in front of the Clubhouse.  With all the recent rain weeding has been easy and the perfect time to dot it.

Thursday 12th June 2014 I spent the morning in my front garden at home filling up two green garbage bins with weeds which have been growing amok in the wet weather.  In the afternoon I spent a nice few hours at my beauticians being pampered.

Friday 13th June 2014 (today) I spent the morning at the Golf Club cleaning up the putting green gardens. In the afternoon Anne dropped Joel and Emily off for a babysit while she took Grace and herself for some tests.  Joel and Emily were very good and easy top look after.  Joel delved into his Lego building while Emily had a nap after her manicure by Nanny.  After that we built the GupX out of our lounge chairs and some blankets and visited the deep ocean floor and the Amazon. Joel is deeply into the Octonauts so his imagination runs wild.  After dinner and baths Rod took Joel and Emily home and I gratefully relaxed with a well earned scotch.

Sunday 8th June 2014

Anothr busy week has flown by with a mixture of good and bad weather.

Friday 30th May 2014 I went with Anne to watch Joel play at Little Rugby which is at Kincumber.
Anne has her hands full with three little ones in tow.  We had lunch at Erina Fair and checked out the shops.
That Evening Peter & I went to the Golf Club for dinner and the raffles.  We won a leg of lamb in the raffles which was a bonus.

Saturday 31st May 2014 Anne picked me up at 7.30am to go to swimming lessons for Joel and Emily.  The kids love their swimming and are improving a lot.  After swimming we did a bit of shopping and the Joel and Emily came home for a play in the afternoon while Anne took care of some chores at home.

Sunday 1st June 2014 we played golf with Garry & Kay Baillie and had a lovely day on the village green.  After golf we went to the Gosford Hotel for dinner with some of our golf friends.

Monday 2nd June 2014 we were up early for F-Troop having a busy day clearing a lot of rubbish at the club.  The front gardens were finally finished which was a good project done.

Tuesday 3rd June 2014 I played golf in the President Vs Captain day where I played for the Captain's side with Rhonda Austen.  Our other playing partners were Merran Adams and Kath Payn.  The President's side won but we had a good day. That evening Shane came over for dinner for a catchup.

Wednesday 4th June 2014 I planted in some more red hedge plants at the Golf Club while Peter played golf.

Thursday 5th June 2014 we had a lot of rain overnight and in the morning.  We did some household shopping and went to the golf club so Peter could pick up some golf equipment to take on his Queensland Golf tour.

Friday 6th June 2014 Peter left for Queensland about 6.00am.  Anne picked me up about 9.30am to go with her to Little Rugby.  We had lunch at Erina Fair and did a bit of shopping.  It had rained for most of the day so it was not good for outside work.  The rain continued so I opted not to go to the Golf Club for Dinner.

Saturday 7th June 2014 I went to the Golf Club to do some weeding of the gardens after all the rain had left them nice and soft.  In the afternoon Anne picked me up to go to Tumbi with her to pick up some baby gear for Grace.  They came home for a play at home in the afternoon.  Rod came over and they all stayed for dinner.

Sunday 8th June 2014 (today) it was beautiful weather in the morning so I went over to the Golf Club to finish off the gardens I had started yesterday. The boys have been lucky with their Queensland tour as the weather had stayed fine. This afternoon the weather here closed in again so I opted for a quiet night at home to catch up with household things.
